TCT enhances water reticulation at the Gobojango community garden

TCT has donated equipment to Gobojango village to help address the low water supply at their community garden. Despite significant investments in infrastructure, including the installation of a borehole equipped with a solar system, the community has faced challenges with low water pressure. This issue hampers the effective distribution of water from the main ground-level reservoir to other parts of the garden, limiting the garden's production capacity.

After reaching out to TCT for support, the community received a grant of approximately BWP 48,000 for the fabrication and installation of two water tank stands, each measuring 3.5 meters in height, built to support the water tanks which were in turn donated by Children in the Wilderness and Mr P J van Rensburg. Our huge thanks to to both these donors for their generosity which has enabled this project to provide further impact.

During the handover ceremony, Deputy VDC Chairperson Mr. Michael Masilo expressed his gratitude for the ongoing support from TCT. He highlighted previous projects, such as the electrification of the garden fence, which has significantly helped protect crops and infrastructure from damage caused by wild animals. Mr. Masilo also noted that improvements to the water reticulation system at the garden will enhance production capacity. This, in turn, is expected to create more employment opportunities in the long run and benefit more community members through improved diet.
