In a remarkable gesture of generosity and environmental stewardship Mr. Anthony Searra has donated his birthday gift money amounting to BWP7,000.00 to Tuli Conservation Trust.
Rather than receiving presents for personal enjoyment, Mr. Searra chose to celebrate his 70th birthday by supporting conservation efforts in Botswana and requesting that instead of presents, his family and friends donated funds to Tuli Conservation Trust (TCT) for use in supporting anti-poaching activities. His contribution will assist TCT in its ongoing mission to protect the Northern Tuli Game Reserve's unique biodiversity, combat wildlife crime and promote sustainable coexistence between communities and nature.
TCT plays a vital role in safeguarding endangered species, preserving natural habitats and fostering environmental education and awareness. Donations like this help sustain essential field operations and anti-poaching initiatives, allowing the anti-poaching team to be more efficient and effective over a wider area.
TCT expressed sincere gratitude for the donation, emphasising the importance of such support in advancing its work. Mr. Searra’s act of kindness serves as an inspiring example of how individual choices can make a meaningful difference in conservation. Driven by his insistence, the funds are to be used strictly to support anti-poaching activities.
