Kwenantle Football Team is the champion of the 2024 NOTUGRE Independence Tournament. 

The Tuli Conservation Trust congratulates Kwenantle Football team for winning the NOTUGRE Independence Soccer Tournament. The 4-day event, which was held in Motlhabaneng village, started on 27 September and ended on 30 September with Kwenantle Football team emerging as the champions after defeating Mashatu with a score of 1-0. The tournament involved 7 teams from the communities adajcent to the Northern Tuli Game Reserve and received support from TCT amounting to just under BWP 32,200.

This annual event aims to promote unity and raise awareness of Tuli Conservation Trust among the participating communities. The event brought a lot of joy to the community members as it gave them a reason to celebrate the Botswana Independence holidays in style. 

In the loser's final, Dikwena Social Club and Motlhabaneng XI battled it out, with Dikwena ultimately winning the game by 4 goals to 3 on penalties. 

The next tournament is set to take place during the 2025 Independence holidays.
