Tuli Conservation Trust UK (“TCTUK”) could not continue its conservation efforts without the assistance of donors, and we are delighted that Guy and Julia Hands have joined the growing list of supporters that want to make a difference to the natural world, and the communities that live in it.

The Board of Trustees of TCTUK would like to thank Mr and Mrs Hands for their very generous donation of £125,000 which will be used to support the Tuli Conservation Trust programme, and in particular the implementation of conservation and community projects within the proposed Greater Mapungubwe Transfrontier Conservation Area (GMTFCA) with specific focus on the Northern Tuli Game Reserve and surrounding villages.

These projects include the provision of an electrified fence surrounding a village horticultural plot, hence reducing human wildlife conflict, and ensuring food security; the furnishing of community clinics with much needed equipment and sanitation infrastructure; and a programme of community outreach designed to ensure the local communities benefit from the Tuli wildlife conservation projects.

Mr and Mrs Hands said: “We are delighted to support Tuli Conservation Trust UK and their efforts to protect the natural world. In addition to aligning with our family’s philanthropic interests in conservationism, TCTUK’s commitment to building local communities that engage with nature through education and empowerment has a positive long-term impact that will make the world a better place for future generations.
